Improving Access for Patients: Parking Eye Introduced at Martock Surgery
Martock Surgery will be introducing Parking Eye as of Friday 9th October 2026. This decision has been made following misuse of the practice car park during opening hours and complaints regarding the use of our car park outside of practice hours, including evenings and weekends. This is to help ensure parking spaces remain available for patients and visitors attending the practice.
Unfortunately, unauthorised parking has at times resulted in patients being unable to find a space. This means that patients have been required to park elsewhere and walk to the surgery. Our aim is to keep the car park accessible for those who genuinely need to visit the practice.
What is Parking Eye?
Parkingeye is a private car park management company that uses automatic number plate recognition technology to monitor vehicle entry and exit times.
How will this affect patients?
This is not intended to impact patients. Patients visiting the practice by car will be able to enter their registration at reception when they sign in for appointments.
To support patient convenience, there will be a 10-minute grace period for drop-offs and collections. During these periods, no vehicle registration details will need to be entered into the screens located in Martock Surgery reception.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we introduce this measure to improve access for all patients.
